I travel for work and this is by far a hidden gem. The staff was so friendly! Fresh breakfast with real cook and griddle for free! My husband and I had dinner in the western horseman on site, we shared the large chicken fried steak with jalapeño gravy and it was so tender. We had leftovers! Also the calf fries were delicious! We stayed in room 110, right in the middle of the atrium. 5 stars all the way around!

I love staying at the iconic Big Texan. Staff is always nice & ready to help. The rooms on site are clean & everything in working order. There’s an RV park with a pool just a couple blocks away that you’re allowed to go swim at. Parking on site . Parking in back for semis & horse trailers w/ turn outs for horses! Of course there’s the BIG TEXAN STEAK HOUSE right across from hotel! So come on yall & enjoy a lil Texas hospitality and a sound sleep!!

The pool is closed for a water shortage which was really unfortunate in the heat! Other than that the breakfast was good - your usual options. Beds were comfy but AC was loud and sporadic. Convenient location for our trip north.
